 COMPANY HISTORY
Eway S.A. was born in 1999, and it was the responsible of developing the electronic catalogue DATA.COD, commanded by GS1 Argentina (at that moment EAN Argentina), that after a bidding process with different existing tools in the world, where besides the tool itself, there have done the solicited upgrades by a logistic committee, composed by retail chains and their suppliers where these chains defined the attributes and the functionalities of the tool.
Through years, besides to make the upgrades concerning to market evolution, our tool was homologated since the first time by GDSN, being always aligned and realizing the changes that were happening around the world for the tools interconection.
In november 2007, after a long bidding process, we were the chosen to operate with GS1 México, with a catalogue similar to the one from Argentina, running under the name of Syncfonía.
In this process we were evaluated jointly with other similar companies of certified catalogues which operate in different countries, both America and Europe.
After be chosen, and the tool certificated, we were incorporating different upgrades and modifications, for get addapted to mexican market.
Also in the year 2008, we were evaluated and chosen by GS1 Venezuela, for migrate his existent Catalogue to a new plataform, realizing upgrades and adaptations for his local market, for the users could get full advantage of this tool.
During the year 2011, the company has realized presentations in other countries, to be able to carry this solution to the organizations which nowadays have not Data Alignment Tools.
Regardless of this tool and with the experience in the retail sector, the company has developed another collaborative tools, such as VMI, CMI, CPFR, also integration systems and chain logistic controls.
REASONS FOR CHANGE
The supplier would provide the technological platform and, GS1 would monitor the adherence to standards and would recomend the using in the mexican market.
In the beginning of year 2008, the company Eway from Argentina, supplier of similar tools in other countries, is chosen to provide this service, where a contract is signed in which the three first years, with an effort of GS1 and the Company, the service would be subsidized for the companies which use this tool, so that from the year 2011, these companies might begin to pay for the using.
By request of GS1 and his Directing Council, and again in a joint effort, the subsidy of the tool is extended by one year more, whereby from January of 2012, and with promotional rates contrasting the established in the three first years, the companies begin to pay the received service.
We can ensure the price accorded in the tariffs, which are fixed according to the company billing, are similar or under the established in other countries.
